About the job

• We are looking for a C#, SQL Server developer to integrate GPS tracking hardware into our tracking system
• You will work on Windows and console apps, and with SQL server 2016
• Performance is key, we need to scale up to 10,000 records per second being processed, so you will have a love for coding, performance and a desire to learn
• We deal with hardware devices communicating in HEX and ASCII, and save data in XML format into the Microsoft message Queue.
• The apps you work on will be TCP listeners which sit on the windows 2016 servers
• You will need to understand the network stack, TCP, UDP, PORTS, HEX, BINARY, ASCII, and converting between them.
• You will need to be an exceptional problem solver, and love the techy parts of C#
• This is not web developer role, it's a hardcore programming role, so we are looking for great coders
• Salary depending on commercial experience at market rates

Qualifications

• Reasonable C# experience
• Experience working with the .NET stack and technologies, including SQL Server.
• Experience with hardware integration will be a plus
